I find it distressing that 13% of Syrian refugees (sampled randomly) polled have a positive or positive to some extent opinion when asked “In general, do you have a positive or negative view of ISIL?” What the hell does this mean? Does it mean that they are leaving their war torn country to get to safety but are in general happy if the ISIL wins? Does it mean that they would prefer to live under ISIL rule? I would be interested in asking one of the 13%. I would like to think that 100% of those fleeing from this totalitarian fascist regime would have an extremely negative view of ISIL. maybe that’s just me.
Further, it is outrageous to me that 37% of Syrian refugees polled either oppose or strongly oppose “..the military airstrikes by the US-led international coalition against Islamic militant groups including ISIL and other groups in Iraq and Syria?” I guess they would prefer a U.N. led coalition? I am not sure.
