Truth be told, the world was surprised by the election results and not just liberals. Work colleagues of mine were literally crying last Wednesday morning. Ivy league schools were canceling exams for students so that they could deal with the emotional terror of the outcome. There is violence and protests in the streets, albeit only […]
Over the past several months I have been encouraged by finding self-identified “classical liberals” calling for more dialogue between opposing views in response to the volatile political climate. One of these voices is Dave Rubin. I respect what he is trying to do even though I disagree with him on many levels in terms of policy. He is […]
In today’s marketplace of ideas it is easy to get bogged down in the game of name-calling. The idea being that it is much easier to discount someone’s argument once their personal reputation has been soiled. This is truly reaching across the isle and I commend his courage as a freshman Senator to speak with such passion and truth. I also appreciate his ability to dig into the history of the Senate and ask “what would the founders say?” I encourage all Republicans and Democrats and those who have given up on our system to watch this and begin to believe in it again. There are men and women of integrity and true statesmen still out there.

The organizations that I have given to (Food for the Poor, Worldvision, Samaritan’s Purse) tend to align with what I think is important as should guide everyone’s giving habits. I am glad that there are so many well-organized organization that can pool massive resources […]
