Thought of the Day and Unrelated articles

Thought-

The only thing that Social Justice Warriors (SJW) and those on the active far left loathe more than an ignorant conservative is a well articulated and informed conservative.  A well articulated and informed conservative baffles the left because the left is taught to believe that there are none in existence.  When confronted with a conservative of this ilk the typical recourse of the left is to name-call and denigrate, which is not a change in strategy from when they interact with ignorant conservatives.

I would not consider most people part of the SJW or far left activist group. But I will say that most people in the western world are under the influence of this group and are unconsciously falling in line.

Crusades vs.Jihad?

I found This Article to be helpful on comparing the oft-cited atrocities of the west in the name of “Christianity” to the holy wars of Islam. there is a stark difference between Islam and Christianity that detractors of the west and Christianity should take seriously if they want to be intellectually honest.

I also recommend Paul Copan’s book Is God A Moral Monster?: Making Sense of the Old Testament God for an honest discussion about the God of Christianity as well as a rebuttal of many arguments against God by the “new Atheists”.
